Welcome to the team!

We're so excited you are going to be a part of our team!  Here are your onboarding instructions.  Feel free to come back to this page at any point for reference. 

You'll work with Kelli or Robby, our recruiting managers, and Hannah, our portfolio manager, during the onboarding process.  Once you have completed the onboarding process, you will be introduced to your manager.

During the onboarding process, you will be introduced to our Creatives Portal.  Refer to this portal for instructions on how to fulfill weddings, invoicing, editing, and more!

Onboarding Checklist

1.

Paperwork

Contractor Agreement: This is an agreement between you and Tolman Media. It explains our policies and procedures. You will receive a separate email from DocuSign with the contractor agreement. Please read over the contract and sign it on DocuSign. Once signed, you will receive a copy of the signed contract in a separate email for your own records. 

W9: Because you are considered an independent contractor, you are required to fill out a W9 for tax purposes. Click here to access a W9 form. Send a filled out copy to your recruiting manager. 

Direct Deposit Authorization Form: We will need your bank account number and routing number in order to pay you for your services. Click here to access the direct deposit authorization form. Send a filled out copy to your recruiting manager.

Training Videos & Creative's Portal

Watch the training videos on Wedding Mastery. Review the Creative's Portal. Take the quiz and send your recruiting manager a screenshot of your score. You need 80% to pass (you can take it as many times as you want).

Tolman Media Portfolio

Many of our clients ask to see portfolios of our photographers and videographers. Since you are just starting to work with Tolman Media, you obviously won't have any photos/videos to show the client that are edited in our style. 

For photographers: Please send Hannah, our portfolio manager, 15-30 of your best photos in raw format. She will then edit them in our style and create a Tolman Media specific portfolio for you. 

For Videographers: Please send Hannah, our portfolio manager,  10-15 of your best video clips. She will then edit them into a short 1 minute reel.

Picture & Bio

Please send Hannah, our portfolio manager, a picture of you and a short bio that we can share with clients. Share how long you've been doing photography/videography, what you love about shooting weddings, and some unique things about you! See the example below. 

Studio Portrait

"Hi! My name is Jane Smith and I'm so excited to capture your special day! I was born and raised in Provo, Utah. I have been doing photography professionally for five years. I love capturing the love between people and getting to know them during a shoot! I love to hike, eat tacos, and play with my puppy Wilson. I'm excited to work with you!"

Join Our Platforms

Once you've watched the training videos, filled out your paperwork, had your Tolman Media portfolio created, and sent in your picture and bio, we will then add you to all the different platforms we use.

Honeybook: View client contracts and invoices, communicate with clients and other team members, use templates and questionnaires.

Wedding Smash: 
View all past and upcoming projects, sign up for weddings, view client wedding details, invoice us for completed projects.

GroupMe: Communicate with your manager and other team members in your area, receive updates on policies and procedures, reassign projects to other team members 

Creative Facebook Page: 
Get to know other team members, post questions, share media, receive updates and reminders

6.

Meet Your Manager

Congratulations!  You are now officially a member of the Tolman Media team! Your recruiting manager will send an email to you and the manager over your area introducing you to each other. Your area manager will be your main point of contact from now on. They can answer any questions or concerns you have. We can't wait to work with you and grow together!
